FULL INTERIOR CONCEPT

For Rugvista’s new headquarters and warehouse at Sockret 4 in Malmö’s central harbour area, we developed an interior concept that gives the brand a clear spatial expression. The project spans approximately 2,500 square metres, and we were involved throughout the entire process – from early concept development to the completed environment.

The concept takes its starting point in Rugvista’s heritage and core business – oriental rugs. Their colours, patterns and materials inspired the office’s colour scheme and set the tone for the identity of the space.

This is reflected in a shift from a previously neutral environment with a predominantly white base to a warmer and more colour-driven workplace.

A richer colour palette and a contemporary design language give the office a stronger character and create a welcoming setting for both employees and visitors.

The layout is designed to support everyday work. Within the large office volume, we created smaller rooms and clearly defined zones that introduce variation and a more human scale. Multifunctional areas support different ways of working and create a natural flow between workstations, meeting rooms and social spaces. The entrance functions as a flexible area that can adapt over time and accommodate different expressions and activities.

Material and colour choices form a central part of the concept. We developed the colour scheme, selected finishes for floors and walls, and supplied furniture for the office, with each element contributing to the overall composition. Existing furnishings were also inventoried and integrated where possible, with a focus on reuse and long-term sustainability.

The result is a distinctive and characterful workplace where identity is expressed through materiality, colour and spatial structure.
