FULL INTERIOR CONCEPT

Along the canal by Malmö University lies STUDIO — a vibrant meeting place where coworking spaces, businesses, hotels and restaurants come together under one roof. People move through the building from morning to evening, and the open areas act as a natural hub for work, meetings and events.

Commissioned by Castellum, we were given the opportunity to activate the shared spaces within the property, with a focus on the existing staircase and the surrounding open areas. The goal was to create clearer functions while enhancing the feeling of a warm and welcoming meeting place.

Previously, the space lacked natural areas for spontaneous meetings and shorter work sessions. Through a variety of seating options, touchdown spaces and carefully considered furnishings, a flexible environment was created that supports the building’s many functions and needs — from informal conversations and work between meetings to larger social gatherings and events.

Materials, textiles and colours were selected to complement the building’s existing character, creating a harmonious overall expression where the new interior feels naturally integrated into its surroundings.

Earthy tones and soft materials contribute to a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the overall expression remains functional, flexible and vibrant.

The result is an active and welcoming space used in an entirely new way — an environment where people genuinely enjoy spending time.
