Skandia Fastigheter Masttorget
MALMÖ
300 SQM
FULL INTERIOR CONCEPT
A first step inside and the pace of the city shifts. Here, urban energy meets calm, as the workplace takes shape as both office and showroom – an environment that demonstrates the potential of the spaces without overpowering them. The project comprises new office areas as well as the entrance and stairwell at Masttorget, located in Västra Hamnen, Malmö.
The office is situated on the top floor of the building, offering views across the cityscape, the Öresund Bridge and onwards towards Copenhagen. Here, everyday work is combined with inspiration and perspective.
The design is based on variation in colour and material, where walls, floors and ceilings interact to highlight different spatial possibilities. Reuse of existing wall elements is a natural part of the concept and contributes to an aesthetic sustainability intended to endure over time. The material palette is defined by wood, chequered parquet flooring, brown tiles and light, nature-inspired tones combined with bolder accent colours. Oak reappears throughout the interior, tying the whole together in a modern, urban expression.
The office includes smaller meeting rooms, a generous kitchen and a Zen Zone – a secluded space for focus and recovery, with soft lighting, soundscapes, curtains and high-backed armchairs.
The entrance and stairwell are designed as a clear transition from city to workplace. Visitors are met by a warm, tactile environment where light, materials and green elements interact. A workplace and a welcome that reflect Skandia Fastigheter’s vision. A showroom for everyday life.
